#12 Grommet Hand Setting Tool Kit [Black Onyx] 1 /Each

With the #12 hand setting tool kit you can cut holes and set grommets for larger materials quickly and as-needed. #12 grommets are typically used for curtains, and can only be set with expensive grommet press machines. This hand setting tool kit brings the capability to handle these large grommets to your shop, without the need to invest in an expensive piece of equipment. Included in the tool kit is: (1) hole cutting die, (1) two-piece hand setting die, (1) poly cutting pad, and (100) pairs of #12 grommets with a 1 ½" hole. You get to choose the grommet color included in your kit, selected from either antique brass grommets, black oxide grommets, brass grommets, or nickel grommets. In addition to this kit, you will need your own mallet and a very strong base surface to work on.

How to Use #12 Hand Setting Tool Kit:
① Lay your fabric or material on top of the poly cutting pad where you want the hole.
② Now position the included cutting die on top of your material.
③ With a heavy rubber mallet (not included), hit the top of the die in one swift blow (the fewer hits, the better the finished quality, so try to cut the hole in one hit).
④ Next, lay the grommet on the bottom piece of the included setting die with the face of the flange in the groove and the shaft portion sticking up.
⑤ Place the hole you cut around the grommet shaft, making sure the face of the flange is in the groove and the shaft is sticking up.
⑥ Now carefully place the washer over the flange, making sure the sharp spurs are touching your material.
⑦ Center the top piece of the included setting die and press down to help hold it in-place.
⑧ Lastly, hit the top die with your mallet until the grommet crimps all the way around the washer. The fewer number of hits, the more professional the finish, so try to do it in as few as possible.
