The CPB2SG is an automated perfect binding system offering pneumatic clamping and nipping, side gluing rollers, two spine glue rollers, and a glue metering roller to provide perfect glue coverage for a secure bind.



The pneumatic powered clamping mechanisms automatically adjusts to your book block thickness from two sheets of paper up to 2-1/4” thick. Both the clamp and nipping table are pneumatic and operate with the compressor that is included with the system.



The simple to use control panel and LCD display lets you customize the machine to your specific job quickly and the safety cover disables the machine when in the open position.



The CPB2SG is a production powerhouse able to bind up to 360 books per hour, depending on the book specifications and operator capabilities.



Offering heavy-duty notching pins, designed to mill deeper into the spine. There is an adjustment on the machine to change the depth of milling on the book block to facilitate the binding of problem stocks such as offset, coated, and books printed with oil or wax-based inks.



The CPB2SG system includes a vacuum waste removal system to eliminate dust created by the spine notching system. The dual glue application rollers make sure the glue is applied to all surfaces of the spine and the metering roller smooths out the glue to the desired thickness.



The CPB2SG includes side gluing rollers, normally found in more expensive systems, to assure secure binding. It also allows for the use of creased hinged covers.



The nipping table has an adjustable height and an adjustable dwell time of up to 3 seconds. The nipper adjustment knob allows the operator to increase or decrease the travel of the nipper to produce an exceptionally square-backed book.



There are 4 important sensors on the machine.


1. The book clamp sensor will prevent the book clamp from closing without a book block in the machine.

2. The cover sensor will prevent to book block moving across the gluing section and into the nipping table unless a cover is in place

3. The safety touch sensor on the top of the clamp, will automatically open the clamp if a hand is on the book clamp.

4. The safety cover sensor will not allow the system to run and will automatically stops the machine if the cover is raised.



The CPB2SG includes a stand that holds the compressor and vacuum system. The stand is on casters making it easy to move around the shop where needed or out of the way when not in use. The exit tray provides a staging area for cover stock and an area to stack books as they come out of the machine.
