Easily produce accurate multiple mats, V-grooves, and other creative mat designs with the Fletcher-Terry 2200 Mat Cutters. With the professional framer in mind, these cutters are designed to provide ergonomic comfort and ease of use. The special cutting head incorporates both bevel and straight cutting which makes it an ideal professional level mat or mount board cutter for creating bevels and producing V-Grooves used as decorative features and finishes in matboard up to 4-ply. The dual cutting feature is best in matboard specialty cutting and 90° cutting in sizing matboard or cutting of foamboard up to 1/2" (13mm). It can cut 8-ply mat, gator, and formboard without much effort and can slice materials up to ½" (13mm) thick. Precise control of over and under cuts when using pencil lines on the back of the mat can be achieved with the Sight Gage on the Cutting Head. A magazine safely holds the cutting blades; this not only minimizes exposure to the hazard of handling sharp blades but also allows fast and safe changing of blades and adjustment of cutting depth. For repeated applications, a pin locator system and mat gauge provides accurate and repeatable settings for mat borders. The cutters are supported with a base that is made from anodized aluminum and will not warp or flex during the cutting process. Offered in sizes of 48" and 60".
