High-Performance Memjet Inks - Memjet inks are water-based, four-color (CMYK) formulations customized to work in conjunction with the revolutionary Memjet printhead. Advanced dye colorants were selected to achieve the highest image quality and reliability at high speeds. The printhead’s 1-2 picoliter ink droplets absorb into typical paper substrates as well as treated synthetics in milliseconds so that your printed labels are completely dry as they exit the printer. Inks are manufactured to very tight tolerances with extremely low impurity levels to ensure consistent quality batch to batch and to maximize your printhead life.
Memjet iJet 1600 DPI Print Head - Features 70,400 color ink nozzles, providing higher speeds, more precise printing using less ink. It offers a print area of up to 1600 x 1600 dpi with speeds up to 12 inches per second or 60 feet per minute.
Waste Ink Tray - Designed to capture excess inks, the tray is filled with absorbant material and should be routinely inspected and replaced when saturated.
Wiper Roller - The printhead must be wiped to remove ink cross-contamination and particulates. The cylindrical wiper rotates to wipe the entire width of the printhead. The roller rotates for the duration of the lift-dwell-lower cycle. A metal transfer roller cleaned by a doctor blade helps remove ink from the wiper. The removed ink dries or evaporates within the wiper station. When the wiper becomes contaminated to such an extent that it is no longer effective, the wiper must be replaced.
